If 6 people shake hands with each other how many handshakes will there be?

there are 6 people, each person with shake hands with five persons. so what you have is
6X5 which is 30 so there will be 30 handshakes

If the handshakes are unique and they never repeat , then it is the summation of 1+2+...+5, since the unique handshakes decreases everytime. Hence, the answer is 15.

suppose 1 peson out of 6 will shake hand with 5 people, then take that person away, now again suppose 1 peson out of 5, he will shake hand with 4 people, then again take this peson away, now we are left 4 people, hence we will carry on with this. Finally, the possible no. of hand shakes will be
5 + 4 + 3 + 2 +1 = 15.
