I Need Help Solving This Equation

solve for x:

2x + 27 + 24x + 12 - 13x

I don't understand how to isolate the variable and get to just x =.

2x + 27 + 24x + 12 - 13x
2x + 24x - 13x = 39x
39x = -27 -12
x = -39/39
x = 1
