This tutorial will show you how to solve linear equations with like terms.  Notice that there are terms with x's on both sides.  Let's try to reduce the number of x's by undoing subtraction on both sides of the equation.  In this way, we can get 3x by itself, and then divide(undo multiplication) to get x by itself.
